The continuous trend towards product miniaturization and multi-functionality embedded in products and micro-systems call for an ever increasing innovation, research and development within the European manufacturing sector. Precision micro-parts are the key enabler to product functionality and performance in a broad range of applications in life-sciences, medical devices, consumables and telecommunication facilities. Micro injection moulding is the de facto industry standard process for mass-production of micro components. This afternoon event will give you the insights about the state-of-the-arts in micro injection moulding at various knowledge centers in Europe.  In addition, the achievements obtained in two recent projects Hi-Micro (Europe) and Change2Micro (Flanders) will be highlighted.
